Veterinary awards highlight excellence within the industry

UK pet insurance provider Petplan has opened the nominations for the 2021 Petplan Veterinary Awards, which aim to celebrate veterinary professionals across the country.

The five categories for the 22nd Anniversary of these awards are:

  • Practice of the Year
  • Vet of the Year

  • Practice Manager of the Year
  • Practice Support Staff of the Year.

Anybody can submit a nomination, including pet owners, fellow veterinary staff, or friends and family. Nominations are anonymous and all nominees receive a nomination certificate to display in their practice.

The awards are judged by an independent panel made up of leading professionals in the veterinary industry. Finalists in each of the categories are invited to attend the Veterinary Awards Ceremony, where the winners are announced.

James Barnes, head of sales and partnerships at Petplan, said: “For over two decades we’ve been recognising the brilliant work of the UK’s veterinary professionals. Every year the quality of entries is incredibly high, but we know that during 2020 the profession really went the extra mile to take care of the nation’s pets, so we expect the 2021 awards to be extra special.

“The Petplan Veterinary Awards provide an opportunity to say thank you for the exceptional work carried out by members of the veterinary profession and we are delighted that nominations are now open for the 2021 awards. These provide a great opportunity for both clients and colleagues to recognise the dedication and talent of theUK’s veterinary professionals, teams and practices.”
