MRCVSonline uses Google Analytics to track which articles/features are most popular, so we can focus on these areas to improve the user experience.

MRCVS user - (Strictly necessary)

The 'MRCVSuser' cookie is used to determine if you have logged into the website.

Logging into the website allows certain privileged features, for example, single click recording of CPD time. This cookie is destroyed each time you close your browser.

The 'savedDataPreferences' cookie is set once you click 'Accept All', 'Reject Non Essential' or 'Save & Exit'.

The 'savedDataPreferences' cookie is only used to prevent you from being asked about your data preferences every time you visit a page.

PHPSESSID - (Strictly necessary)

The 'PHPSESSID' cookie is used to store your session ID.

Your session ID is used to allow interactions between the MRCVSonline website and your browser, necessary during account login and form submissions.

iPad app - (Functionality)

If the website is viewed on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, the user will be offered the functionality of the iOS application that we have developed.

If the user would like to view the website instead, a cookie will be placed with the value='1' with a month expiry date.
This will be used to check if the user would prefer to visit the website instead.

RCVS Knowledge announces ‘quality improvement’ event

The course is available for all of the practice team.

The course will show how to improve outcomes and care.

RCVS Knowledge has announced a Quality Improvement (QI) event on Thursday 7 December, from 9.00am- 5.30pm at Pride Veterinary Referrals in Derby.

The interactive course is for all practice colleagues, and provides steps to improve outcomes and care, embed new systems for patient safety and learn from successes and failures. A virtual workshop will follow.

There are 40 tickets available, with early bird tickets for £160 until 20 October. Full price tickets are £180.

Milk recalled over presence of veterinary medicines

Graham's Family Dairy has issued a recall for its semi-skimmed milk due to the presence of veterinary medicines in the product.

In a risk statement, the Food Standards Agency said the presence of the medicines, including penicillin, make the milk unsafe to consume and 'may be a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to antibiotics'.

Customers who bought the product are advised to return it to the store of purchase for a full refund.
