Comic sings for frogs
Song penned for Save the Frogs Day

John Shuttleworth, the alter ego of comedian Graham Fellows, has written a humorous song in honour of Save the Frogs Day, which takes place on Saturday, April 27.

Graham wrote the song to raise awareness of the threats facing frogs. More than 30 per cent of frogs all over the world face extinction, with common UK frogs at risk due to habitat loss and disease.

Graham has previously raised money for the cause through a gig in his hometown of Louth. His new song, entitled "Love the Toads (Warts and All)" is available for download from www.soundcloud.com.

Explaining his interest in the cause, Graham said: "My 10 year old son, George wanted to see what frogspawn and tadpoles looked like. It was Spring but the ponds in my area were all frogless.

"I realised the only way was to go on Youtube. Fancy that - a kid having to go online to find out what a tadpole looks like. When I was his age, we had frogspawn coming out of our ears!

"The shock of this realisation galvanised me into contacting Froglife and offering John's services."
